Hot N Heavy founder Commodore 69 teamed up with Jamal (aka dj Mal / 2-Cents, SF) to form a production duo powerhouse and create a mash of bass music styles spread across 4 tracks one of which features the flavors of UFO! This is some serious dub funk bizness!

The ep was mastered by DZ (Badman Press) and B. Rich (Party Like Us Records). Favela Bounce was featured on Udachi's Palms Out Sounds "Swagga" Promo Mix 2010 along with Tony Rocky Horror's "Champion Sound" HNHEP003 and has been played by top notch dj / producers such as DZ, Udachi, UFO!, Thrills, Tony Rocky Horror and Flinch.

First up is the title track “Junk Funk” by Nonewyork & Sam Supa, It’s dark funky roller with heavy wobble basslines, sirens, tearing synths and latin vocals. The second track “My Groove” is by Nonewyork & Commodore 69, It’s a tropical bass funky tune with a Miami feel, male vocal samples and steel drum rhythms. The third tune by Nonewyork is called “Winter Time Riddim”, It’s a deep, heady dubstep tune with soft 80’s synths, surreal strings and hand drum rhythms perfect for chillin out at Delores Park watching the sunset.
