Leeds based 19 year old Adam Fennell aka Corporal F delivers five weighty UK Funky jams across the aptly titled 'Heat Up' ep. Set to be released on Friday April 20th at all fine digital retail outlet stores the 'Heat Up' EP is already garnering support from the likes of Distal, Low Limit, Grenier, Worthy, XI, CDBL, and Hybu to name a few. Also make sure to catch Corporal F's weekly radio show on Rood FM every Friday from 8-10pm (GMT) at www.roodfm.com.

Corporal F & Majora's 'Majora's Mask' tune has been a major contribution to the success of our Destinations Vol.1 compilation. Here Corporal F goes in for his solo affair and Majora takes on remix duty for 'Give It All' to make for a well-rounded release.

We asked Adam a '6-Pack' of questions to get to know him a bit better and this is what he has to say.

1. Where were you born?

    A. North West London in the early 90's. Wicked place, but in Leeds at the minute for university and loving it!

2. When did you first get into electronic dance music?

    A. I came to EDM in my mid teens. I went to an Enter Shikari gig, and they had a drum and bass DJ supporting them, and from then I was hooked. Before that I'd been listening to a lot of rock/punk stuff, and played guitar in various school bands. (Quick shout out to the people in them!)

3. What other types of music influence your production style?

    A. Quite a few - I'm surrounded by loads of great musicians spanning loads of genres at uni, but other than most EDM I think the main influences are funk, punk, rock and more recently film music. Oh and jazz, everyones gotta love a bit of jazz!

4. What's your favorite quote from a dead king of England?

    A. That's a mad question! I've actually had to research this, and there's 2 angles. Firstly Henry VIII brought a laugh with this, when one of his wives looked nothing like the picture he had been shown: "They had brought him a Flanders mare!". I guess my serious favourite quote comes from Oliver Cromwell (wasn't actually a King but close enough): "I would rather have a plain russet-coated captain that knows what he fights for, and loves what he knows, than that which you call 'a gentleman' and is nothing else".

5. If you were stranded somewhere what musical instrument would you want to have with you?

    A. No question on this, got to be my guitar, she's an absolute beauty, would have to be that!

6. Any shout outs?

     A.Yeah quite a few:

- My Girlfriend
- Majora
- Hiloxam
- My Nu Leng
- Pusherman
- Jack Norman
- Mike Hindle at Immersed Audio
- John at Digital Pirate Material
- Everyone feeling my tunes!
