Matt Brinkworth aka Retrospekt is the 22 year old producer and DJ, born, bred and inspired in the city of Cardiff (UK) and now residing in the big smoke, or as it's better known, London. He first discovered his passion for electronic music production through the thriving Drum & Bass scene in Cardiff and later Hertfordshire, before broadening his horizons and experimenting with new BPMs and styles. He's now focused on pushing slower tempo house music, around the 110bpm mark, and this track is a prime example of his new found direction.
The track is titled 'City Fox', a tune that he states is tribute to the ever loud urban foxes that currently fight and/or hump loudly outside the window of his London flat. The vibe is deep, minimal and resonates with the sounds of a city that is a haven for the nocturnal. 2013 is set to see a lot of action from Retrospekt, be sure you keep your eyes and ears to the ground.
